We generally adjust the prescription on a weekly base. 

For acute conditions we change them more frequently,

for chronic conditions you may have the same prescription for a longer period of time.

Other modalities of Chinese Medicine are Cupping, Moxibustion, GuaSha, TuiNa, Food Therapy, Qi Gong, Tai Chi,

Homeopathy is used for acute or chronic conditions
